Hey y'all,
it's been ages since I last changed the journal. Frankly I think many of the artist movement has moved to Facebook, stealing some users and activity from deviantart, so that's mostly why I've neglected my dev art account. Even though I'm a loyal user and I love the community, and the great feedback and friendships I've gained here over the last 7 years, I think Deviantart needs quite urgently some kind of revamp or update. It hasn't adapted well to the new social networks, and there are some browsing shortcomings that always boggled me (for example, trying to look up some artist by username).
Commissions
As the title says, commissions are for the time being, closed. I'd have to ask something around +$100 for a color commission to make it profitable, and I think that might be a bit expensive. I usually spend way too much time polishing them, as well. So I'll concentrate on doing comic book artwork for now. Don't be discouraged, you can always check by note, if I have a small window of time I might squeeze a commission from time to time.
Original artwork for sale
I'll also be selling some original comic book pages, if enough people are interested in buying them. I have something around +200 pages from my Slipshine comics. They range from A3 pages, fully inked, to A4 pages in very tight pencils. Most of the pages are from "VideogameTown", but I've got also pages from "Diabolika Spectra", "Pretty Bounty Hunter Illyria", and "Theater of sexy" features like "Lady Alchemia" and "Glory Gal" (that's all that I can remember doing now).
A4 pencil pages start at $20, A3 at $35. (Depending on amount of artwork, characters, importance in the series.)
I'll surely throw in some freebies from the production backstage , like character sketches, thumbnails, blue pencil sketched pages, for buyers that buy more than one page.
Shipping price to be determined! I have to find out how to safely send artwork to international buyers. I'll be selling them through eBay, and paypal is the prefered way of payment.
